WELCOME TO THE FAQ for the 2025 Meeker Mustang Makeover!

GENERAL QUESTIONS-

Q. When and where is the competition?

The MMM is two days this year, Friday August 22 and Saturday August 23, starting at 8am both days! It’s held at the Rio Blanco Fairgrounds in Meeker, CO.

Q. How much are tickets? Can I buy them at the gate?

Tickets are $5 ahead on Eventbrite per day, and $8 at the gate, kids 12 and under are FREE

Q. Will there be food and drinks and alcoholic beverages be available for purchase?

Yes, the Lions Club and food trucks will have food all day on Friday and Saturday. There will be a fun MUSTANG MINGLE dinner, dance and silent auction to meet the trainers on Friday night, cost is $35. Drinks available for purchase.

Q. What meals will be sold?

Hamburgers, hot dogs, brats and more!

Q. Can I bring my own food?

Yes you can!

Q. Where do I stay? Is there an RV park?

Q. Can I sell my products at the event?

Yes you can, contact Josie, our vendor coordinator: 970-343-0134

Q. Can I camp at the Fairgrounds?

Only if you are a trainer or with the Westernaires: with the larger number of teams and the Mustang Only Horse Show this year, there will be room for only a few trainers can camp at the Fairgrounds. It will be crowded this year so make your reservation NOW!

Q. Can I bring my dog(s)?

Yes, well behaved dogs on a leash only.

Q. How much are kids tickets?

Kids 12 and under are FREE!

Q. What is there to do in Meeker?

Lots to do in one of Colorado’s most beautiful and still wild counties. Neither town, Meeker or Rangely have a traffic light, but are chock full of cool stores, galleries and restaurants. Don’t miss the historic White River Museum (free), Grab coffee/cappuccino’s at Wendl’s as you come into town, or get a old time breakfast at the Meeker Café (one of the West Slope’s original hotel/restaurants where President Teddy Roosevelt once stayed and hunted).

Q. How do I buy one of the mustangs at auction?

Register with the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) and bid in person at the auction on Saturday at 6pm at the Fairgrounds, or bid on line (get a bidder

Q. Will the trainer be available to continue the training and help me?

Most of our trainers WILL be available to continue training. Check the auction booklet or contact the trainers of the horses you are interested in ahead of time.

Q. How can I pay for the horse?

Checks, credit card and cash are all available to pay for your horse! Credit card has 3.5% extra charge. Personal checks are FINE.

Q. Is there an online bidding option?

Q. How do I get the horse to my home?

We can help you with the logistics of getting your horse to you. We have several transport firms we can connect you with. More info on LonghornVideoAuctions.com

Q. What can I expect to pay for a horse?

Yearlings generally go from $250 to $2,000, and two year olds $1,000 and up, and three year olds from $1,500 to $20,000
