Bylaws - Purpose and Objectives : Create awareness of the wild horse population issues by conducting programs that show the value of the breed and give wild horses gathered by the Bureau of Land Management from the range a second chance at a purposeful life.

The Meeker Mustang Makeover has gained recognition across the western United States as a worthwhile event involving community, mustangs, government and people. Every year, trainers pick up a mustang in April and have about 150 days to build their trust and skills. In June, Meeker Mustang Makeover hosts a “back-on-track” clinic giving the trainers the opportunity to learn advanced horse training techniques from professional renowned horse trainer Bryan Neubert from California. Finally, in 2026 the Meeker Mustang Makeover will hold its competition for all to see the trainers and their mustangs compete and ultimately move into new homes.

We’re a volunteer-based 501(c)(3), and donations directly support things like educating the public about the wild horse populations across the west, providing scholarships to all youth that participate, conduct training clinics from mustang training professionals, as well as, well known industry professionals, and of course, prize money that make this program work.
